Republicans like to use Cheney’s tax-return and how much he “gave” as a method for how much of a nice person he is. But news flash: HE GAVE TO ORANIZATIONS THAT HIS FAMILY IS PART OF!!!!

    George Washington University’s Cardiothoracic Institute

Both Dr. Reiner and Dr.Lee from George Washington University Hospital was the physician who did the procedures on Mr. Dick Cheney, the Vice President of the United States after he had a heart attack and previous bypass surgery.

—— He “gave” to the doctors that helped him..

    Then: http://www.cpfe.org/board.html

Look who sits on the board: “Mary Cheney”

Do you want me to investigate more?
Did you REALLY think these people just “give” to organizations to get nothing in return?

    Suprised?

    I’m not.

How to pay for health care?

Use Military Spending on the fighting the disease that are actually killing Americans!!

Strengthen VA Hospitals to the point where they can take care of all those who need it. Bring our troops home to take care of US Citizens & heal our forces. Let’s take care of the wounded here at home!

Use the military budget to advance technology and research to save lives! Not destroy them!

US Military Funding to be spent on Health Care!!!

    Let’s spread this around!

45,000 die each year from being un-insured…. Let’s use Military funding to save their lives!!!

Call your representatives today and let them know that you want Military spending to go towards saving American lives!!!  More on this to come soon….

  • How and Why Bush committed treason against the USA.

From the US Constitution: “Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

    From: http://baltimorechronicle.com/media3_oct01.shtml

This is a big story. We were wondering if, in the wake of current events, we were the only newspaper that was asking that question, “Who benefits?” And then we found that the Wall Street Journal was asking the right questions, too, and we were vastly relieved not to be left hanging out to dry. On Sept. 27, the WSJ published a “Special Report: Aftermath of Terror” with the headline “Bin Laden Family Could Profit From a Jump In Defense Spending Due to Ties to U.S. Bank.” The “bank” is actually The Carlyle Group (and by the way, we peons can’t invest in it, and it sure isn’t taking deposits from the general public). The lead sentence reads: “If the U.S. boosts defense spending in its quest to stop Osama bin Laden’s alleged terrorist activities, there may be one unexpected beneficiary: Mr. bin Laden’s family.” And, though the WSJ curiously did not mention this, another beneficiary may be George H.W. Bush’s family.

  • “Democrat” Cowards in the Senate deny Obama’s Aug Deadline

    24Jul
    Categories: Political Bull Comments: 0

So, If you haven’t heard by now, the Senate Democrats have voted to postpone making a decision about Health Care until September. Effectivly bypassing Obama’s August deadline for a package. Now I ask you this…. Are they “Cowards” or are they just “Lazy Fat Cats” who don’t want to address the issue. It seems to me that if your working on a project, one month is a good time to develop it. But due to the controversy around who is going to pay for it, they haven’t decided to do ANYTHING yet…

    I call them COWARDS…
    (Especially the Democratic ones)

    Why????

Because health care is something that humans need, it is a necessity. And the status-quo works good for them, just the way that it is. Big Insurance funds many of their campaings and so do the rich people who will get taxed higher to pay for a Government run option.

Cowards, because they are bending to corporate intrest and do not have the courage to step up and do what is right in the face of mounting pressure…

  • Why and how the USA needs Health Care Reform

    07Jul
    Categories: Good Ideas Comments: 0

Unlike many statements made on the “conservative-side” of this issue… I can actually prove why we need health care reform.

According to the World Health Organization, here is a list of countries and how they rank for Health Care: http://www.photius.com/rankings/healthranks.html

As you can see…. The USA falls to #36. Just barely above Cuba; and well below France, Costa Rica, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Iceland, Japan, Chile, Singapore, Spain, Oman, Austria, and more.

When it comes to how much we PAY for Health Care as a % of GDP….. We are at the #2 spot for the most expensive system on the planet: http://www.photius.com/rankings/total_health_expenditure_as_pecent_of_gdp_2000_to_2005.html

Why are we spending soooooooo much?
    Yet getting such bad service?

Simple answer really……. The Insurance Companies

They are so un-willing to help, that they actually are hurting the system. An insurance company is nothing more than a middle-man profiting from the sick…. It is rather disgusting.

With proper reform, you can change the whole picture…….

    http://www.ushealthcareindex.com/

According to that website, with simple enforcements of standards and switching from the many many many diffrent forms to electronic data transfers can save the health care industry alone an approx: $29,718,502,500

That alone is a HUGE chunk of change that can revolutionize coverage for EVERYONE!!!

The prob is that most people are brainwashed by media corporations that are sponsored by the insurance companies.

    FREE YOUR MIND!!!

  • Why Competition is so Important

    25Jun
Categories: Good Ideas, My Opinion Comments: 0

I believe it was Mussolini who said Fascism is when the Government and the Corporations are one.

Socialism is a very similar philosophy. It’s why all Socialist countries are labeled as Fascist (please note that “European Socialism” is not REAL Socialism, they are democracies with policies that promote society)…  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_socialist_countries

But I would like to take the corporation + government theory one step further and into a business/monopoly concept….

    COMPETITION

Without it, monopolies will run the country.

Competition is what spurs innovation, creates success, drives prices down to affordable rates, and gives people options. I believe the best thing about our system here in the USA, is the competition factor. If we don’t like how we are treated at one place, we have the option to go someplace else…..

Now let’s throw Government regulators into the picture…. What is the goal of regulation and government? (or at least what should be)

My answer: To protect the people from those with power, from those who they can’t protect themselves against on their own….. Usually, these are powerful conglomerations of powerful people…. ie corporations.

The Government and our Corporations SHOULD be at odds with each other. There should be a level of competition between the two. Corporations, if they are wronged by the Government, can sue the Government. And if the people are wronged by Corporations, we should have laws on the books so that we can take them to court too.

Our Government, is by the PEOPLE for the PEOPLE. It is our right as citizens to step up and protect ourselves, and the ONLY way to do that, is by being vigilant against corruption and corporate greed that influences our elected officials.

Competition must exist between Corporations and our Government…. They should not be working hand-in-hand for the betterment of themselves. When that happens….. the innocent people lose.

The real Boston Tea Party was a protest against huge corporate tax cuts for the British East India Company, the largest trans-national corporation then in existence. This corporate tax cut threatened to decimate small Colonial businesses by helping the BEIC pull a Wal-Mart against small entrepreneurial tea shops, and individuals began a revolt that kicked-off a series of events that ended in the creation of The United States of America.

  • Vice President Dick Cheney’s Stock Options

    08Jun
    Categories: Political Bull Comments: 0

Vice President Dick Cheney’s stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

An analysis released by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) reveals that as Halliburton’s fortunes rise, so do the Vice President’s. Halliburton has already taken more than $10 billion from the Bush-Cheney administration for work in Iraq. They were also awarded many of the unaccountable post-Katrina government contracts, as off-shore subsidiaries of Halliburton quietly worked around U.S. sanctions to conduct very questionable business with Iran (See Story #2). “It is unseemly,” notes Lautenberg, “for the Vice President to continue to benefit from this company at the same time his administration funnels billions of dollars to it.”

CRS also found that receiving deferred compensation is a financial interest. The Vice President continues to receive deferred salary from Halliburton. While in office, he has received the following salary payments from Halliburton:

Deferred salary paid by Halliburton to Vice President Cheney in 2001:$205,298

Deferred salary paid by Halliburton to Vice President Cheney in 2002:$162,392

Deferred salary paid by Halliburton to Vice President Cheney in 2003:$178,437

Deferred salary paid by Halliburton to Vice President Cheney in 2004:$194,852

  • The Use of Independent Military Contractors in the US Army

    22May
    Categories: Uncategorized Comments: 0

What is going wrong in the USA right now, is the use of independent private contractors within the Military Industrial Complex, it really has gone unchecked for many years under Bush. It is a practice that has gone on for a long time (during the Revolution George Washington hired German Mercenaries), but it is something that is practiced with extreme risk and peril to the American Troops and the American way of life.

    Why?

Because it put our US Military at risk to being exposed to foreign forces, enemy spies; and has a huge effect on the moral, responsibility factor and reputation of our troops. Not to mention the HUGE influence of corruption for tax payer dollars, business dealings with the enemy, and the gigantic threat is is to our National Security.
Today I got an email from the National Guard saying:

Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., asked both Geren and Casey about the recent decision to transfer the Joint Cargo Aircraft (JCA) from a joint program to the Air Force. He noted that aging Sherpas lack the capabilities required to operate in Afghanistan and he questioned the use of private contractors in Afghanistan to fly troops from forward operating base to forward operating base.

They are using contractors to do the job that our military is supposed to be doing. Not to even mention, the contracts are so large that the troops no longer have to peel their own potatoes! Our US Army is deeply embedded with international corporations right now to the point where they can no longer support even their own missions, the need to hire contractors to fly them around.

The question I have is this:

How much do you think Cheny is going to make in Dividen payouts from that deal?
